About Mave Health
Mave Health is building the future of cognitive performance. We make a tDCS wearable headset that targets the prefrontal cortex to improve focus, stress regulation, and mental performance in 20 minutes a day. We're a $2.8Mn funded, fast-moving team working at the frontier of consumer neurotechnology, and we're looking for someone who wants to help define what that category looks like to the world.
The Role
You'd be working on the neuroscience behind Mave's next generation of hardware. The headset you know today is just the starting point, and there's real open ground in the research to cover as we build what's next.
You'll work alongside our hardware team, owning the protocol, the literature, and turning signal into testable hypotheses and a real consumer product.
What You’ll Work On
- Design and run real experiments on EEG signal features and/or other biosignals
- Turn research literature into hypotheses we can actually test on our own hardware
- Help design protocols for internal experiments.
- Tell us clearly what's testable now, what needs more work, and what's a dead end
Who We're Looking For
- Real, hands-on EEG research experience - data collection, artifact handling, feature extraction, deciding biomarkers, not just coursework.
- Comfortable reading (tons of) primary literature and forming your own opinions on it.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and speed.
- Ability to take complete ownership of your work.
- Genuine interest in seeing your research turn into something people actually use, not just a result in a paper
- Open to non-traditional backgrounds if the curiosity and hands-on experience are real
