Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate Automation QA Engineer with strong experience in test automation to design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Python and Playwright. The ideal candidate will have a product-oriented mindset, a deep understanding of testing best practices, and a strong focus on delivering high-quality, scalable software products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Python and Playwright.
- Build and enhance test automation frameworks from the ground up.
- Write clear, maintainable, and scalable test scripts for web applications.
- Identify, document, and track bugs to resolution.
- Perform functional, regression, end-to-end, and cross-browser testing.
- Collaborate with developers to improve testability and code quality.
- Review test coverage and continuously improve test strategies.
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders.
- 4-6 years of experience in test automation.
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright for browser automation.
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and the SDLC.
- Experience with test frameworks such as pytest.
- Experience testing microservices architectures.
- Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities.
- Knowledge of API testing (REST, tools like Postman or requests library).
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Knowledge of BDD frameworks (e.g., Behave, pytest-bdd).
- Experience with performance or load testing tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
