Role Overview
Packet.ai, a brand of Hosted.ai, is building the GPU infrastructure and commerce platform for the AI economy. Packet.ai provides GPU and inference cloud infrastructure for AI developers and companies, while Hosted.ai is building the broader GPU commerce platform connecting GPU supply, infrastructure, and demand. We have gone from 0 to 1.5M ARR in just 6 months and are at an important stage of building the company and developer ecosystem.
We're looking for a DevRel and Community Lead to build our developer community from 0 to 1. This is a hands on role. You'll work directly with AI engineers, developers, founders, and open source communities, building the programs, content, and relationships that drive developer adoption of Packet.ai. You'll work closely with the founding, product, and engineering teams and have significant ownership over the DevRel function.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and grow the Packet.ai developer community from 0 to 1
- Develop and execute our developer relations strategy
- Build relationships with AI/ML engineers, developers, and technical communities
- Create technical content, tutorials, demos, and developer resources
- Organize meetups, workshops, hackathons, and other developer events
- Build developer programs, ambassador programs, and community initiatives
- Identify relevant AI, GPU, and open source communities and build partnerships
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to bring developer feedback into the product
- Represent Packet.ai at developer events and technical communities
- Track community growth, engagement, and developer adoption
- 4+ years of relevant experience in DevRel, Developer Community, Developer Marketing, or a similar role
- Proven experience building a developer community from 0 to 1
- Experience working directly with AI/ML engineers and developers
- Strong understanding of AI infrastructure, GPUs, inference, LLMs, or cloud
- Experience creating technical content for developers
- Experience organizing hackathons, meetups, workshops, or developer programs
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Comfortable working independently and building processes from scratch
- High ownership and willingness to get hands on
- Experience at an AI infrastructure, GPU cloud, developer tools, or open source company
- Existing relationships within AI/ML developer communities
- Open source community experience
- Technical or engineering background
- Experience with GitHub, Discord, Reddit, X, or other developer communities
- Experience building developer ambassador programs
- Joining at an early stage where the developer community is still being built
- Shape Packet.ai's developer community, DevRel strategy, and programs from scratch
- Own technical content and education, hackathons, developer events, and partnerships
- Build the ambassador program and the feedback loop between developers, product, and engineering
