Job Description – Smallworld GIS Engineer
Position: Junior Design Engineer, Design Engineer
Experience: 1–4 Years
Location: Hyderabad & Khammam
Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electric utility GIS data maintenance activities, including design updates, as-built incorporation, asset validation, and QA.
- Work on GE Smallworld for maintaining and updating electric utility network data.
- Interpret as-built drawings, design documents, and engineering information and incorporate updates into GIS.
- Maintain accurate information related to electric distribution assets, network connectivity, topology, and GIS data.
- Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with project standards.
- Identify and resolve connectivity, network, and data-related errors.
- Ensure GIS data is updated in accordance with defined workflows and client requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address data discrepancies and complete assigned deliverables within timelines.
- 1–4 years of experience in Electric Utility Data Maintenance.
- Hands-on experience with GE Smallworld GIS.
- Good understanding of electric distribution assets and utility networks.
- Experience in GIS data maintenance, updates, and validation.
- Knowledge of network connectivity and topology.
- Ability to interpret as-built and design documents.
- Good understanding of GIS data modelling.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
