Job Summary

We are looking for a strong program leader and strategic operator who can autonomously execute complex enterprise initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will wear multiple hats (Technical Program Manager, Agile Coach, Process Designer, Storyteller, and Systems Thinker) to drive critical Financial Product initiatives at MX while partnering with engineering and product leadership to align on high-impact outcomes and scalable architectures.

From day one, you will influence both product strategy and technical execution to help us build and improve our platform while scaling the organization itself. You will bring expertise in best-in-class frameworks for work intake, prioritization, SDLC optimization, team management, and decision-making, along with the ability to navigate technical trade-offs, increase developer velocity, and create clarity across ambiguous problems.

If you are a creative problem-solver with a passion for optimizing processes, scaling businesses through analytical and general management skills, and building through sane, compassionate collaboration, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

  • Program Leadership & Delivery: Communicate goals, roles, and outcomes; drive delivery on time, within scope, and on budget. Own performance, scalability, and reliability targets for releases. Manage multiple simultaneous initiatives with time-sensitive constraints. Demonstrate financial acumen in budget planning, resource allocation, and P&L awareness.
  • Requirements & Strategic Planning: Translate high-level business needs into actionable technical roadmaps and API contracts. Develop program-level and product/technology roadmaps that align cross-functional dependencies. Inform executive decisions with data-backed resource and risk analysis.
  • Risk, Transparency, & Governance: Establish proactive risk detection frameworks using RAID logs and mitigation strategies. Track and publish program health dashboards, including executive summaries and detailed drill-downs. Drive data-informed decision reviews and OKR/KPI governance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence: Build effective networks across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Legal, and InfoSec. Simplify complex challenges into pragmatic plans and tell compelling program narratives that align diverse stakeholders. Navigate matrixed-management environments with empathy and influence.
  • Process Design, Coaching, & Technical Governance: Design enterprise-wide processes that increase successful program delivery and adoption. Mentor teams on software delivery best practices (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Waterfall). Facilitate technical design reviews and partner on architectural trade-offs between scalability and speed-to-market. Lead structured change rollouts and drive adoption. Develop and coach technical program managers to elevate the TPM discipline across the organization.
  • Tools & Systems Mastery: Establish Atlassian Suite governance and drive best practices in Jira Software, JPD, and JSM. Create data visualizations that translate complex information for executive and team audiences. Identify and implement AI-assisted automation to increase team efficiency in reporting, insights generation, and documentation, while staying current on emerging workflows.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Technical Program Management experience leading large-scale software delivery in a New Product Development environment.
  • 3+ years of experience leading or mentoring other technical program managers.
  • Proven track record of managing end-to-end SDLC for complex distributed systems.
  • Atlassian Suite expertise, ideally having served as a global administrator.
  • Expertise in the Scrum framework, with a proven track record of scaling and tailoring agile practices to an organization's maturity level to drive engineering velocity and sprint health.
  • Comfort operating in high-ambiguity environments with rapidly evolving priorities.
  • Strong bias toward action, with the ability to unblock teams autonomously and make decisions with incomplete information.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across matrixed teams and build trust with peers at all levels.
  • Proven ability to rapidly absorb and synthesize complex technical information, allowing for deep engagement in architectural discussions.

Advanced Requirements (Optional)

  • Experience with personal financial management or wealth management tools.
  • Experience managing AI/ML product development and deployment.
  • Ability to navigate technical ambiguity and resolve blockers during zero-to-one builds.
  • Systems-thinking mindset with experience in long-term technical strategy and tech debt reduction.
  • Analytical skills to utilize engineering metrics for decision-making and product insights.
  • Bias toward building automated inspection mechanisms and technical governance processes.
  • 3+ years of direct experience in a technical role (SWE, SRE, DevOps, or Systems Architect).
  • Experience leading systemic change management within an engineering organization.
  • PMP and CSM certifications.
