Job Brief:- AU Small Finance Bank Limited is seeking a meticulous and experienced professional to join our Operations and Services team, specializing in the evaluation and appraisal of gold assets for loan processing. This role demands a deep understanding of gold valuation techniques, market trends, and regulatory compliance to ensure accurate and timely assessment of gold collateral. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting the bank's gold loan portfolio by providing precise appraisals that mitigate risk and enhance customer trust. This position requires collaboration with multiple departments to streamline loan disbursement processes while maintaining the highest standards of operational integrity and customer service.

Responsibilities:-

Conduct thorough and accurate appraisal of gold jewelry and bullion to determine market value for loan sanctioning purposes.
Stay updated with current gold market prices, purity standards, and industry trends to ensure precise valuation.
Verify the authenticity and purity of gold items using standard testing methods and equipment.
Collaborate with loan officers and operations teams to facilitate smooth processing of gold-backed loan applications.
Maintain detailed records of appraisals, including photographs, weight, purity, and valuation reports in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory guidelines related to gold loan appraisal and documentation.
Identify and report any discrepancies or potential fraud in gold assets to the relevant authorities within the bank.
Provide training and guidance to junior staff on gold appraisal techniques and compliance standards.
Participate in periodic audits and inspections to uphold quality and accuracy in appraisal processes.
Assist in resolving customer queries related to gold valuation and loan collateral management.
