About the Role

We are looking for an experienced General manager to lead the operations of a large-scale Li-ion Battery Pack Assembly / BESS manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end plant operations, production, quality, safety, productivity, cost, people management, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in BESS and Li-ion battery manufacturing, with experience managing 2–4 GW plant operations and large manufacturing teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead overall plant operations, production, and manufacturing activities.

Manage large-scale Li-ion battery pack and BESS manufacturing operations.

Drive plant productivity, yield, OEE, quality, cost, and delivery KPIs.

Lead plant setup, commissioning, production ramp-up, and capacity expansion.

Manage manufacturing processes, plant layout, equipment, automation, and technology implementation.

Drive MES, automation, digital manufacturing, and traceability systems.

Manage senior engineers, supervisors, technicians, and large plant workforces.

Ensure high standards of Li-ion battery safety, EHS, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Manage production planning, material availability, supply chain, and critical components including cells, modules, BMS, enclosures, and raw materials.

Coordinate closely with Engineering, SCM, Quality, EHS, Technology, and external vendors.

Drive continuous improvement, cost optimization, operational excellence, and accountability across the plant.

Candidate Profile

15+ years of experience in Plant / Manufacturing / Operations leadership.

Strong experience in Li-ion battery, BESS, EV battery, or battery pack manufacturing.

Experience managing 2–4 GW plant operations or large-scale battery manufacturing facilities.

Proven experience in plant operations, commissioning, ramp-up, and capacity expansion.

Strong understanding of production, quality, EHS, automation, supply chain, and manufacturing processes.

Experience managing large teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

Strong leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and operational management skills.

Candidates from South India preferred.

Must be able to speak and understand Kannada preferred.

Candidates with strong experience specifically in BESS and Li-ion battery manufacturing will be preferred.
