As part of our EY‑GDS team, you will play a critical role in shaping and elevating our clients’ Procurement Operations. As a manager, you will lead complex engagements that enhance operational efficiency, strengthen compliance and controls, and embed digital solutions across the end‑to‑end procurement lifecycle. You will guide teams in delivering measurable improvements in service delivery, process performance, and procurement maturity, while developing the next generation of operations talent. Your leadership and operational expertise will directly influence how our clients modernize their procurement function. Additionally, you will contribute to building our procurement operations capability, supporting go‑to‑market initiatives, and leading key operational excellence pursuits.
The opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager with 8–10 years of strong procurement and supply chain operations expertise, backed by a solid Managed Service background and deep knowledge across core procurement sub‑functions such as P2P, sourcing operations, supplier management, contract, spend analytics and operational governance. The ideal candidate will be a strategic, operations‑focused leader capable of designing and optimizing procurement operating models, driving process excellence, embedding digital procurement capabilities, and leading large‑scale transformation initiatives. This role requires exceptional stakeholder management, the ability to build trusted relationships at senior levels, and the leadership skills necessary to guide high‑performing teams while delivering measurable, high‑impact improvements in procurement operations.
Your Key Responsibilities
The Manager will lead end‑to‑end Procurement Operations across PR‑to‑PO processing, Contract Lifecycle Management, Supplier Management, Spend Analytics, and Managed Services Governance. Responsibilities include overseeing the requisition‑to‑order process, ensuring contract activation, amendments, renewals, and compliance, and aligning all transactions with contracts, catalogs, and pricing agreements. The role will also manage transitions through knowledge transfer, documentation, readiness assessments, and stabilization while ensuring SLA performance and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- PR to PO Operations & Contract Management
- Lead end-to-end PR to PO operations, including requisition processing, approvals, PO creation, amendments, and closures.
- Oversee Contract Lifecycle Management, including contract activation, amendments, renewals, expiry management, and compliance.
- Ensure alignment between PR/PO transactions and active contracts, catalogs, and pricing agreements.
- Govern procurement controls, approval matrices, and audit readiness across operations.
- Transition Management & Service Stabilization
- Lead transition activities for procurement operations, including knowledge transfer, process documentation, and readiness assessments.
- Manage transition planning across PR-PO and Contract Management processes, ensuring minimal business disruption.
- Drive stabilization post-transition, including SLA tracking, issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
- Managed Services & Stakeholder Management
- Manage managed services engagements, including service governance, SLA/KPI management, and performance reviews.
- Act as the primary interface with client stakeholders, service providers, and internal teams.
- Drive effective communication, issue escalation, and resolution across procurement operations.
- Procurement Process Integration & Enablement
- Apply working knowledge of adjacent procurement areas such as supplier onboarding, sourcing handoffs, spend visibility, and compliance.
- Ensure smooth integration between procurement operations, contracts, and downstream finance processes (e.g., invoice compliance, accruals).
- Leverage procurement platforms such as SAP Ariba, ServiceNow, ERP systems, and supplier portals to enable operational efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement & Governance
- Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization, standardization, and automation.
- Support reporting, governance forums, audits, and internal control reviews.
- Mentor and guide team members within procurement operations.
- Supplier Management & Governance
- Lead supplier onboarding, performance management, compliance monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Establish and manage supplier governance frameworks including KPIs, SLAs, scorecards, and review cadences.
- Monitor supplier risk, dependency, and compliance, and escalate issues to senior stakeholders as required.
- Act as the primary interface between suppliers, procurement teams, and business stakeholders.
- Spend Analytics & Optimization
- Lead spends analytics to identify cost reduction, demand management, and value optimization opportunities.
- Analyse spends across categories, suppliers, and regions to generate actionable insights.
- Develop and present dashboards, reports, and management insights to support decision-making.
- Partner with sourcing and finance teams to track savings and benefits realization.
- Systems Enablement, Managed Services & Stakeholder Leadership
- Leverage procurement and analytics platforms such as SAP Ariba, ServiceNow, ERP systems, BI tools, and supplier portals to enable supplier governance and spend visibility.
- Ensure data accuracy, reporting integrity, and adherence to controls.
- Lead supplier and managed services governance forums, including SLA and performance reviews.
- Communicate insights, risks, and recommendations clearly to senior client and internal stakeholders.
- 8–12 years of experience in Supplier Management, Spend Analytics, Procurement Operations, or related roles.
- Strong experience in supplier governance, spend analysis, and stakeholder management.
- Hands-on exposure to procurement and analytics tools such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, iValua, Jaggaer, ServiceNow, ERP platforms, and BI tools.
- Proven ability to operate in managed services and transformation environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
- Supply chain consulting experience in Big 4, Supply chain global consulting firms preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30%, depending on project requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance, Analytics, or related discipline.
- MBA or professional certifications (CIPS, CPSM) preferred.
- Consulting or global delivery experience is an advantage.
