Embedded C Linux

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Embedded Linux Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Linux system development, particularly Yocto-based embedded Linux, and experience in device drivers, BSP development, networking, security, package management, and edge-to-cloud systems.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, debugging, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance gateway and edge-computing solutions for connected products built on Linux platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and customize embedded Linux distributions using the Yocto Project.
• Work extensively with Linux filesystems, package management, networking, security, and system services.
• Perform toolchain configuration, cross-compilation, and customization of:
• Bootloader, Linux Kernel, Device Tree, Initramfs, Root filesystem, systemd
• Work with Yocto concepts including layers, recipes, classes, machine configurations, metadata, and build configurations.
• Create and customize Yocto recipes, manage dependencies, package versions, and software components.
• Develop and integrate BSPs and device drivers for embedded platforms.
• Work with ARM-based hardware architectures and embedded hardware interfaces.
• Develop and maintain multithreaded and distributed software components.
• Design and implement gateway software for connected and industrial IoT products.
• Configure and troubleshoot Linux networking, including network interfaces, routing, firewall rules, and TCP/IP.
• Analyze network traffic and troubleshoot connectivity-related issues.
• Work with industrial and IoT protocols such as HTTPS, MQTT, XMPP, TCP/IP, CAN, Modbus, and Ethernet.
• Implement security best practices including encryption, authentication, authorization, and access control.
• Work with Secure Boot, secure storage, OTA updates, and secure communication mechanisms.
• Apply cryptographic algorithms, protocols, and libraries for encryption and digital signatures.
• Develop Bash and/or Lua scripts for automation, system configuration, build environments, and Yocto customization.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex issues across the Linux kernel, drivers, networking, applications, and system services.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, QA, DevOps, and other cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to CI/CD automation and DevOps practices for embedded software development.
• Stay current with emerging embedded Linux, IoT, networking, cybersecurity, and edge-computing technologies
