Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience to manage day-to-day accounting, financial records, statutory compliance, taxation, and financial reporting. Responsibilities
- Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts and day-to-day accounting entries.
- Handle purchase, sales, expenses, receipts, payments, journal entries, and ledger posting.
- Maintain and reconcile customer and vendor ledgers.
- Prepare and verify GST invoices, e-Way Bills, GST returns, and related documentation.
- Handle TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and returns.
- Perform regular bank reconciliation and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain records of accounts receivable and accounts payable and follow up for outstanding payments.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, MIS reports, expense statements, and other management reports.
- Assist in preparation of balance sheet, profit & loss account, trial balance, and other financial reports.
- Coordinate with CA, auditors, banks, suppliers, customers, and government departments for accounting and compliance matters.
- Maintain proper documentation and records for audit and statutory requirements.
- Monitor company expenses and ensure proper authorization and accounting of all transactions.
- Verify purchase bills, sales invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting documents.
- Maintain proper records of inventory, material purchases, stock movement, and production- related expenses, wherever applicable.
- Assist management in cash-flow monitoring, budgeting, costing, and financial analysis.
- Ensure timely compliance with applicable GST, TDS, income-tax, and other statutory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of company financial information.
- Perform any other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B. Com) or equivalent qualification.
- 5+ years of practical experience in accounting and finance.
- Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime / ERP accounting software.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas, reports, and data analysis.
- Practical knowledge of GST, TDS, e-Way Bills, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in bank reconciliation, ledger scrutiny, and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of accounting practices applicable to manufacturing/construction businesses will be preferred.
- Strong accounting and numerical skills.
