Job Description

As a Software Test Automation Engineer within Test Automation and Robotics, you will help modernize and scale our automated testing capabilities. You will create and maintain automated tests for Avaloq banking solutions, APIs and web applications, using AllinWeb as a strategic tool alongside API simulation or mocking solutions and script-based testing frameworks.

Your key tasks

• Develop, maintain and execute automated test cases for projects, maintenance and emergency releases.
• Translate business use cases and manual test cases into reliable, reusable automation scripts.
• Automate functional, regression, integration, API and end-to-end test scenarios.
• Analyze test results, report and track defects, support root cause analysis and verify fixes.
• Maintain and improve automation frameworks, test data and reusable components.
• Work closely with Product Owners, developers, business analysts and internal or external stakeholders to define effective testing strategies.

Contribute to the adoption of AllinWeb, interface and future script-based testing capabilities.

Qualifications

Must have

• 3 to 5 years of experience in software testing, including hands-on test automation.
• Experience in test case design and execution across functional, regression and end-to-end testing.
• Programming or scripting knowledge and a good understanding of object-oriented concepts.
• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman and knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to learn new tools, frameworks and banking functional areas.

It would be a real bonus if you have

• Experience with AllinWeb, or comparable automation tools.
• Knowledge of source version control and CI/CD practices.
• Banking knowledge in areas such as payments, onboarding, securities operations, trading, tax or regulatory reporting.
• Avaloq or Oracle database knowledge.
