What You'll Do
Our team builds and maintains the core backend architecture and orchestration engines that power our high-scale production systems. We bridge traditional backend software engineering with modern cloud-native deployment and automated workflow pipelines.
In this role, you will be exposed to enterprise-scale distributed systems, container orchestration at scale, and end-to-end data pipeline automation. You will use your Java expertise to build robust backend microservices while leveraging Python and Apache Airflow to orchestrate complex scheduled workflows. By deploying and managing these components within Kubernetes, you will ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and smooth deployment cycles.
Your work directly controls how our core application logic and automated workflows run in production. By keeping our Kubernetes deployments resilient and our Airflow pipelines performing efficiently, you ensure seamless service uptime, rapid deployment of new features, and reliable data delivery for end users.
The day-to-day
- Feature Integration & Development: Writing clean, scalable, and well-tested Java code to build and extend core backend microservices.
- Workflow Orchestration: Designing, building, and maintaining Apache Airflow DAGs and Python scripts to automate multi-step processing jobs and background tasks.
- Kubernetes Orchestration: Writing and updating Kubernetes manifests and Helm charts to manage application pods, service configurations, and scaling strategies.
- Continuous Deployment: Automating build, test, and release processes to support zero-downtime continuous deployment to production users.
- Operations & Monitoring: Troubleshooting container performance, monitoring cluster health, and resolving production bottlenecks across Java services and Airflow runners.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Core Language: Strong proficiency in Java and its ecosystem, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Orchestration: Hands-on commercial experience with Docker and Kubernetes (K8s). You should be comfortable managing pods, deployments, services, and configurations.
- Workflow Tools: Practical experience building and maintaining pipelines in Apache Airflow.
- Secondary Language: Proficiency in Python for scripting, data processing, and Airflow DAG creation.
- Version Control & CI/CD: Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
- Ability to work on distributed remote agile teams with a high degree of self-motivation and ability to work independently.
- Exposure to GraalVm is an additional plus
- Experience with cloud platforms GCP
- CI/CD and Devops exposure is a strong plus
- Travel Requirement: Up to 10%
