Job Overview
The Senior Analyst will join the Smart Fees (Fees & Expense Management) department and be responsible for the analysis, reconciliation, validation, and management of fees related to Brokerage, Clearing, Exchange, Regulatory, and other Market Data services in accordance with client Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
The role requires strong knowledge of OTC products, fee structures, invoice processing, reconciliations, and exception management. The successful candidate will be expected to independently manage complex operational activities, work directly with clients and market participants, drive issue resolution, improve processes, and contribute towards strategic initiatives across the department.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Reconciliations
•
Reconcile fees related to OTC and Listed Derivatives products including CDS, IRS, FX, Equities, Bonds, Futures, Options, and other market products.

Perform detailed analysis and validation of brokerage, clearing, exchange, regulatory, and market data fee calculations.

Investigate and resolve complex exceptions, breaks, disputes, and reconciliation variances.
•
Review, validate, and process client, broker, exchange, and vendor invoices while maintaining a high level of accuracy and control.

Ensure all client service levels and internal controls are met consistently
• Perform root cause analysis on operational issues and drive sustainable
resolutions.
• Proactively identify risks and escalate critical issues where appropriate.
Client & Stakeholder Management
• Serve as a key point of contact for external and internal stakeholders.
• Manage investigations and queries relating to invoices, reconciliations, fee
calculations, billing discrepancies, and operational processes.
• Participate in client operational discussions.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external
stakeholders.
• Communicate complex issues clearly and provide meaningful analysis and
recommendations.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, scalability, productivity, and
controls.
• Evaluate and streamline existing processes to reduce manual effort and operational
risk.
• Contribute towards the enhancement of procedures, controls, SOPs, and
governance frameworks.
• Support audit, compliance, regulatory, and control initiatives through accurate
documentation and evidence management.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Technology, Automation & AI Innovation
• Actively identify opportunities to leverage Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI,
automation, and data analytics to enhance operational performance.
• Lead the development and implementation of automation and efficiency initiatives
across operational workflows.
• Design and develop analytical solutions, dashboards, automation utilities, proofs of
concept, and reporting tools.
• Utilize AI platforms and automation technologies to optimize processes, strengthen
controls, improve data quality, and reduce manual effort.
• Translate business challenges into technology-driven solutions with measurable
outcomes.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Teams, Development, QA, and Project
stakeholders to deliver strategic improvements.
• Remain current with emerging AI, automation, and analytics technologies and
proactively identify opportunities for adoption.
• Act as a technology and innovation champion within the team.
Leadership & Knowledge Sharing
• Support, coach, and mentor junior team members.
• Act as a subject matter expert across assigned products, clients, or operational
processes.
• Share knowledge and best practices across the department.
• Demonstrate ownership and accountability for deliverables and broader team
objectives.

Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
• 4-6 years of experience within Investment Banking Operations, Brokerage, Fees &
Expense Management, Reconciliations, Market Data, or related Financial Services
functions.
• Strong knowledge of OTC Derivatives products and end-to-end trade lifecycle
concepts.
• Sound understanding of Investment Banking products, market infrastructure
services, fee models, and operational workflows.
• Proven experience managing client, broker, exchange, vendor, and stakeholder
relationships.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to deep dive into complex operational issues, identify root causes, and
recommend practical solutions.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Experience working with large datasets and generating meaningful business
insights.
• Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage priorities and deliver results with
minimal supervision.
• Proven hands-on experience utilizing AI, Generative AI, automation, and productivity
tools within a business environment.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering efficiency improvements, automation
initiatives, process optimization, or operational transformation projects.

Preferred / Desirable Skills
• Experience with SQL, Python, Power BI, Tableau, Power Automate, VBA, or similar
analytical and automation technologies.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or
comparable enterprise AI platforms.
• Experience building dashboards, automation workflows, analytical models,
reporting solutions, or AI-assisted business processes.
• Knowledge of data visualization, business intelligence, and advanced analytics
concepts.
• Experience working across Operations, Technology, Product, and Change functions.
