Role Overview:
- GCC Hyderabad is building the next generation of enterprise AI capabilities to accelerate innovation, operational excellence, engineering productivity, and intelligent decision making across the Bank.
- We are seeking a visionary, engineering-first GenAIOps Leader to establish and scale our AI Platform, GenAIOps, and Agentic AI ecosystem.
- The AI Leader will lead a strategic greenfield initiative responsible for architecting and building the Bank's enterprise AI foundation, enabling the development, deployment, governance, and operation of Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions at scale.
- This role is responsible for defining the vision, strategy, architecture, operating model, and execution roadmap for AI platforms, AI engineering, Agentic Data Engineering, AI observability, enterprise knowledge systems, and intelligent automation capabilities.
- The leader will collaborate closely with global technology, product, data, and business stakeholders while partnering extensively with teams across Data Engineering, DataOps, MLOps, Data Science, Analytics, Platform Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Security, Risk, and Compliance.
- This individual should bring deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud native architectures, platform engineering, large scale software development, and modern AI technologies, combined with the ability to build and lead high performing engineering organizations.
- Define and execute the strategy, architecture, and operating model for the Bank's AI Platform, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and GenAIOps capabilities.
- Lead a greenfield initiative to build scalable, secure, and enterprise grade AI platforms that enable AI adoption across the organization.
- Establish GCC Hyderabad as a center of excellence for AI Engineering, Agentic AI, AI Operations, and AI Platform Engineering.
- Drive the development of Agentic AI solutions across software engineering, operations, data engineering, knowledge management, and intelligent automation use cases.
- Build enterprise capabilities for Knowledge Search, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), Knowledge Graphs, Ontologies, Document Intelligence, and Content Extraction.
- Partner closely with Data Engineering, DataOps, MLOps, Data Science, Analytics, Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Risk teams to create a unified AI ecosystem.
- Establish best practices for AI Governance, Responsible AI, AI Observability, AgentOps, model lifecycle management, monitoring, and operational excellence.
- Build and lead high performing teams while mentoring senior engineers, architects, and technical leaders.
- Drive innovation while ensuring scalability, security, regulatory compliance, and measurable business outcomes.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- 15+ years of overall experience in technology, software engineering, distributed systems, CI/CD, DevOps [BM3] [PD4] etc.
- 3+ years of experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI Orchestrations Frameworks (LangGraph, Langchain, LlamaindexetcStrands, msft agentic framework/autogen), Vetctor Databases and embedding models (Pinecone, MongoDB etc) and Observability Frameworks (Arize Phoenix, Evidently etc).
- Proven experience in senior technical leadership roles such as Principal Engineer, Distinguished Engineer, Chief Architect, Engineering Director, or equivalent.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud native architectures, microservices, event driven systems, platform engineering, and large scale software development.
- Hands on experience with modern programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, Go, C#, or TypeScript.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevSecOps, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and engineering productivity practices.
- Experience building and operating large scale streaming and real time platforms using technologies such as Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming, Event Hubs, or Kinesis.
- Demonstrated experience delivering AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, RAG, and AI platform capabilities in production environments.
- Strong understanding of Data Engineering, DataOps, MLOps, AI Observability, and enterprise scale platform operations.
- Experience with Knowledge Graphs, Ontologies, Semantic Models, Vector Databases, and enterprise knowledge platforms.
- Experience in Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience building enterprise AI platforms, Agentic AI ecosystems, and AI Centers of Excellence at scale.
- Experience implementing enterprise AI governance, Responsible AI frameworks, and model risk management practices.
- Experience building AI powered knowledge search, document intelligence, content extraction, and engineering productivity solutions.
- Strong background in observability, telemetry, reliability engineering, and operational excellence for AI and distributed systems.
- Experience leading globally distributed engineering organizations and building high performing technical teams.
