Salesforce Consultant
Huzzl
Salesforce is the commercial and service engine of a modern transportation business – where customer relationships, pipeline, account hierarchies, ownership, and day-to-day customer service come together. As Senior Salesforce Consultant / Solution Architect, you will own the design, delivery, and reliability of the enterprise Salesforce platform across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud, supporting the full customer lifecycle from onboarding through case management and ongoing account operations.
You will own the complete Software Development Lifecycle – consulting with the business, architecting scalable solutions, building on the platform, integrating with the wider enterprise, and keeping production stable.
Salesforce consumes the customer golden record mastered in CDM and connects, through integration middleware, to transportation management, billing, order management, and finance systems – making sound design and reliable integration central to the role.
This is a senior, hands-on position that blends consulting and architecture with deep technical delivery and production ownership.
Why it matters: Sales, customer service, and revenue operations run on Salesforce every day. This role keeps that platform architecturally sound, reliably integrated, and continuously improving.
WHERE THIS ROLE SITS – THE PLATFORM LANDSCAPEThe Salesforce platform is the hub for customer and case management, integrated across the enterprise transportation ecosystem:
- Sales Cloud & Service Cloud – accounts, customer hierarchies, ownership, sales compensation, pipeline, case management, and service routing.
- Customer Master (Oracle Fusion CDM) – the upstream single source of truth supplying published customer accounts, hierarchies, and ownership.
- Integration Middleware (MuleSoft) – the backbone for inbound and outbound interfaces between Salesforce and enterprise systems.
- Transportation Management Systems (TMS) – operational platforms exchanging shipment and customer data with Salesforce.
- Rating, Billing & Order Management – revenue and fulfillment systems that rely on consistent customer and account data.
- Finance & ERP – downstream consumers requiring reliable synchronization and reconciliation.
- Business Functions – Customer Service, Sales Operations, Credit, and Billing teams supported day to day.

- Design and build with Apex, Triggers, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flows.
- Deliver Platform Events, REST/SOAP APIs, Custom Objects, Custom Metadata, Validation Rules, and Approval Processes.
- Implement enhancements for account and case management, routing, hierarchies, ownership, and compensation.
- Build reusable, well-tested components and continuously reduce technical debt.
- Design and maintain integrations with MuleSoft, the customer master (CDM), TMS, billing, order management, and ERP systems.
