Position Summary
The Assistant Manager, Centralized Recruiting provides frontline leadership for the GCN centralized recruitment team supporting high-volume, full-cycle recruitment for defined roles within the HOS and ILOB lines of business. This role supervises the daily work of recruiters assigned to a designated line of business and is accountable for maintaining candidate throughput through offer extension, meeting service-level expectations, and ensuring consistent execution of standardized recruitment processes.
The Assistant Manager monitors recruiter productivity, reviews daily performance metrics and service-level agreements, coaches team members, addresses performance gaps, and escalates material issues to the Senior Manager for resolution. Success requires strong people leadership, data orientation, process discipline, problem-solving ability, and the capacity to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
Responsibilities
Recruitment Delivery & Candidate Throughput
- Supervise the day-to-day work of recruiters supporting high-volume, full-cycle recruitment for defined HOS and ILOB roles within an assigned line of business.
- Set clear daily priorities, assign work, and maintain focus on candidate throughput through offer extension.
- Monitor requisition activity, recruiter capacity, pipeline health, and workflow bottlenecks; adjust assignments within the team as needed.
- Monitor recruiter productivity and review daily service-level agreements, key performance indicators, and operational metrics to drive performance.
- Use applicant tracking system data, Power BI dashboards, and structured reports to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide timely performance updates and escalate delivery, capacity, quality, or compliance concerns to the Senior Manager for resolution.
- Coach, develop, and support recruiters through regular feedback, performance discussions, and on-the-job guidance.
- Address underperformance promptly, establish improvement expectations, document actions, and partner with the Senior Manager as appropriate.
- Promote accountability, collaboration, urgency, and a strong service orientation across the team.
- Ensure recruiters adhere to standardized recruitment processes, governing guidelines, documentation requirements, and approved hiring practices.
- Review work quality and data accuracy, identify process gaps, and reinforce consistent use of the applicant tracking system and related tools.
- Support implementation of process improvements and operational changes that improve speed, consistency, quality, and candidate experience.
- Maintain effective communication with Talent Acquisition leaders and business stakeholders regarding progress, risks, priorities, and hiring outcomes.
- Resolve day-to-day recruiting issues within the team and escalate matters requiring broader leadership support or business decisions.
- Partner with the Senior Manager and related teams to ensure aligned execution and timely completion of hiring activities.
- Demonstrated experience supervising or leading a Talent Acquisition delivery team.
- Experience supporting high-volume, full-cycle recruitment in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience monitoring recruiter productivity, service levels, and operational metrics.
- Strong people leadership, coaching, and performance management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to provide clear direction and feedback.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while managing competing priorities.
- Strong process orientation and commitment to standardized workflows, governing guidelines, and documentation requirements.
- Data-oriented approach with the ability to interpret recruiting metrics, identify trends, and drive corrective action.
- Strong problem-solving and issue-resolution skills, including sound judgment regarding escalation.
