Since 2015, we've partnered with over 300 brands, building impactful campaigns that deliver both high-quality leads and measurable results, helping generate over ₹200 million in revenue for our clients. Our 100 plus team thrives on a blend of creativity and data driven expertise, driving tangible results within a work culture that fosters innovation, supports growth, and encourages creative freedom.
About the Role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager with a strong understanding of Performance Marketing to bring new clients to 8 Views and grow the agency's revenue.
This is not a traditional sales role. You will pitch performance marketing-led businesses across Real Estate, Education, Healthcare and other lead-generation focused brands, so you need to understand the numbers behind the pitch, not just the pitch itself.
You will curate client-specific pitches, build pitch decks, manage the pipeline and close deals. About 30% of your time will go to your own outreach: sourcing leads on LinkedIn and building relationships with consultants and potential partners. A dedicated outbound team supports lead generation, so the rest of your time goes to pitching, proposals and closing.
If you enjoy combining sales with marketing strategy and data-driven conversations, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the new-business pipeline from first conversation to signed contract, and close deals to meet monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Curate client-specific pitches by researching each prospect's business, competitors, digital presence and gaps, and recommending the right service mix (SEO, performance marketing, social, content, creative).
- Create pitch decks and proposals that are clear, visually strong and persuasive, and prepare scope-of-work and pricing documents with the team.
- Present to clients in person and over calls, and handle objections, negotiation and follow-ups.
- Discuss performance marketing numbers confidently with prospects: CPL, CPC, CTR, CPA, ROAS, conversion rates and lead-to-sale ratios across Google Ads, Meta and SEO.
- Build realistic budget, lead and ROI projections for proposals, backed by data.
- Run your own outreach (about 30% of your time): source leads on LinkedIn and other channels, send connection requests and follow-ups, and start conversations with decision-makers.
- Build relationships with consultants, agencies and potential partners for referrals and collaborations.
- Work with the outbound team on lead handovers, giving feedback on lead quality and ideal prospects.
- Qualify leads on budget, need, timeline and decision-maker access.
- Manage the pipeline in the CRM and share weekly and monthly reports on pipeline status, conversions and revenue forecasts.
- Hand over closed clients smoothly to the Brand Management and delivery teams, and make sure promises made in the pitch are understood internally.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in business development, sales or client acquisition, preferably in a digital marketing or advertising agency.
- Strong understanding of performance marketing, digital strategies, marketing funnels and key performance metrics.
- A track record of closing deals and hitting revenue targets.
- Ability to build pitch decks and proposals in PowerPoint, Canva or Google Slides.
- Strong command of LinkedIn as a prospecting tool and comfort running your own outreach.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and a data-driven mindset, with comfort in numbers, reports and ROI discussions.
- Hands-on experience with a CRM and outreach tools.
- Proficiency in G Suite; familiarity with Meta, Google and LinkedIn Ads is an advantage.
- Comfortable using AI tools to improve research, proposals and productivity.
What Will Make You Successful
- You think beyond the pitch and understand the client's business growth.
- You are comfortable discussing marketing numbers, not just creative ideas.
- You tailor every pitch to the client instead of reusing a template.
- You can challenge a client's assumptions with data and advise them confidently.
- You build real relationships with consultants and partners who bring referrals.
- You stay disciplined on pipeline hygiene and follow-ups.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience selling digital marketing or performance marketing services.
- An existing network of consultants, agencies or channel partners.
- Experience with Real Estate, Education or Healthcare clients.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn automation and lead-generation tools.
Agency experience is mandatory. Candidates with prior experience selling performance marketing services will be preferred.
