ELV/ FMCS Design Engineer

- Support the Design Lead in managing and coordinating the design of ELV (Extra Low Voltage) systems and Facility Monitoring & Control Systems (FMCS) for the project.
- Review and coordinate ELV design deliverables prepared by consultants, ensuring compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, specifications, client standards and GC execution requirements.
- Participate in design discussions and technical coordination meetings with ELV consultants, Mechanical, Electrical, CSA and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless system integration and resolution of interface issues.
- Coordinate the integration of ELV systems with FMCS/BMS, MEP services, security, fire & life safety, communication and other facility systems, identifying and resolving design interfaces.
- Assist the Design Lead in reviewing system architecture, design basis, schematics, layouts, equipment specifications, interface requirements, cable routing and points schedules.
- Coordinate with consultants, vendors and specialist agencies to obtain timely design inputs, technical submissions and approvals in line with the project schedule.
- Support procurement and construction teams by providing technical clarifications, design inputs, material/equipment review and resolution of site-related design issues.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals and method statements related to ELV systems and provide technical recommendations to the Design Lead.
- Track design progress, identify potential delays or technical risks, and support the Design Lead in ensuring timely release of coordinated design information for procurement and construction.
- Support testing, commissioning and handover requirements for ELV and FMCS systems, including review of commissioning documentation and resolution of design-related issues.
- Maintain effective coordination between Design, Procurement, Construction, Consultants, Vendors and Client to ensure ELV systems are delivered as per project requirements, quality standards and schedule.
