- Lead day-to-day event monitoring operations, including alert review, escalation management, reporting, and follow-up on security activities
- Oversee the analysis and investigation of cybersecurity events and incidents, including validation, impact assessment, and coordination with incident response teams
- Guide analysts across shifts, identify training needs, mentor team members, and serve as an escalation point for complex security issues
- Monitor trends in threats, attacks, and security operations to improve detection content, response procedures, and operational effectiveness
- Coordinate with security tool specialists and stakeholders to implement enhanced monitoring content, maintain documentation, and support process improvements
Deloitte Global Cybersecurity is responsible for advancing the organization’s objectives for data protection, cyber visibility, and the security of critical infrastructure. The team delivers cybersecurity services to Deloitte member firms through regional delivery hubs and a Global Fusion Center, helping drive consistent monitoring, response, and protection capabilities across the network. This role is part of the event monitoring function and supports regional security operations center activities within a global operating model.
Location: Hyderabad
Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or another technical field
- 10-13 years of experience
- 5+ years of experience in information security or cybersecurity focused on security event monitoring
- 2+ years of experience in a management or team leadership role
- Experience with security information and event management, intrusion detection systems, intrusion prevention systems, firewalls, data loss prevention, or security operations center ticketing systems
- Experience investigating cybersecurity events, attack activity, malicious code, or abnormal network or host behavior
- Master’s degree
- Professional security certification such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Information Security Manager, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Certified Ethical Hacker, or Global Information Assurance Certification credential
- Experience administering or securing Unix, Windows Server, Active Directory, routers, switches, web servers, identity and access management, or vulnerability scanning tools
- Experience leading a security operations center team responsible for analysis and correlation of event, log, and alert data
- Experience working in a global organization
- Experience applying ISO/IEC 27001, COBIT, National Institute of Standards and Technology Cybersecurity Framework, or National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication 800-53
