Full Stack Developer
Anglo-Eastern Ship Management
This role is responsible for designing, building, and deploying secure, production-ready enterprise web applications — owning full stack solutioning end-to-end, from front-end UI to back-end services, APIs, and Azure cloud hosting. The position takes prototypes and proof-of-concept web pages through to hardened, tested, enterprise-published production releases, supporting Anglo-Eastern’s digital transformation by delivering secure, scalable, and business-focused solutions that improve efficiency, decision-making, and operational performance.
ROLES ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Design, build, and maintain secure, production-grade enterprise web applications covering front-end (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, responsive UI) and back-end (REST APIs, services, integrations, SQL databases, and data models).
Take prototype and proof-of-concept web pages/applications through hardening, security review, performance optimisation, and testing to make them fully enterprise production-ready.
Develop, deploy, and support Azure-based hosting using Azure App Service, Static Web Apps, Container Apps, Functions, Storage, Azure SQL, and monitoring, publishing applications for enterprise-wide access with appropriate authentication (Microsoft Entra ID / SSO) and access control.
Own end-to-end solution delivery, from requirement analysis and design to development, deployment, support, documentation, and continuous improvement.
Work with business stakeholders to understand needs, recommend practical technology solutions, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards, security, and business value.
Manage code, CI/CD pipelines, deployments, release/publishing of enterprise web applications, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support across Development, UAT, and Production environments.
Requirements
KEY SKILLS AND CAPABILITIES:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect – Preferred
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or a recognised full stack / web development certification – Good to have
- Python, JavaScript/Node.js, DevOps, or Security certification – Good to have
Specific Business Knowledge:
- Strong front-end development skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and a modern UI framework (React, Angular, or Vue.js), including responsive and accessible web design.
- Strong back-end development skills in Python (FastAPI, Flask, or Django) and/or Node.js, with REST API design, authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
- Proven experience taking prototype or proof-of-concept web pages/applications through to hardened, tested, production-ready releases, including code refactoring, performance tuning, and security remediation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure for enterprise web hosting, including Azure App Service, Static Web Apps, Container Apps, Functions, Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Key Vault, Microsoft Entra ID, and Application Insights/monitoring.
- Strong database skills covering SQL Server or Azure SQL, database design, query optimization, views, stored procedures, and data modelling.
- Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker/containerisation, environment (Dev/UAT/Prod) deployments, release management, and production support.
- Good to have: Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), Power BI, Azure OpenAI/Generative AI integration, microservices architecture, API management, and Kubernetes.
- Strong analytical, communication, ownership, stakeholder management, troubleshooting, prioritization, and continuous improvement skills.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
5–8 years of experience in full stack web application development, covering both front-end and back-end engineering.
Experience taking web applications from prototype/proof-of-concept through to secure, production-ready, enterprise-hosted deployment on Microsoft Azure, together with software engineering best practices, cloud architecture, and enterprise security.
