Job Description
Lead the global UX organization through AI-driven transformation, redefining how AI and agentic capabilities shape user experiences, UX practices, and organizational effectiveness while delivering measurable business value. As Head of UX, you are a strategic partner to VP- and C-level leadership, connecting UX strategy with product, technology, and business objectives while championing the value of user-centered design across the organization.
What your new challenge will look like
- Lead a global UX organization of 15-18 people across Europe, India, and external partners, with all UX roles reporting into this position.
- Be based primarily in Bengaluru (other locations possible) and travel regularly between Berlin and Bangalore.
- Own and manage the UX budget, including headcount, tools, and vendor expenses.
- Define and drive a three-year UX vision, with a strong focus on AI and agentic experiences that transform workflows and user interactions.
- Partner with Product Management to identify opportunities where AI can fundamentally redesign and simplify customer workflows.
- Lead the adoption of AI-enabled UX practices across research, ideation, prototyping, design, and evaluation.
- Build AI capabilities within the UX team and create a culture of experimentation, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Establish a scalable UX operating model that supports growth across multiple products, teams, and business areas.
- Define effective collaboration models between UX, Product Management, and Engineering throughout the product lifecycle.
- Align UX strategy with product strategy and broader business objectives.
- Translate UX and design strategies into measurable business outcomes.
- Drive hiring, team growth, role leveling, and career development across regions.
- Manage design operations, governance, quality standards, and process improvements.
- Ensure a consistent and cohesive user experience across the entire product portfolio.
- Strengthen user research and customer feedback as core components of decision-making and product development.
- Promote the value of UX beyond visual design, emphasizing research, rapid prototyping, and customer-centric innovation.
- Balance rapid decision-making with stakeholder inclusion and organizational alignment.
- Lead senior managers and distributed international UX teams through organizational transformation and maturity growth.
- Build and scale UX organizations across complex, multinational environments and multiple product domains.
- Establish governance structures and cross-functional ways of working that enable UX to scale effectively.
- Demonstrate strong understanding and experience with AI-driven and agentic product experiences.
- Work effectively across Europe-India time zones and multicultural teams.
- Bring strong people leadership experience combined with a solid UX background.
- Possess excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence executive leadership and gain C-suite alignment.
- Connect UX, product, technology, and business priorities through strategic thinking.
- Champion innovation, emerging technologies, and continuous improvement.
- Remain resilient, stable, and effective in environments characterized by uncertainty and change.
- Demonstrate high ownership, accountability, and commitment to business outcomes.
- Supply chain or logistics software experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong English communication skills are required; a formal degree is not required.
- 10+ years of professional experience in UX, Product Design, or a related design discipline, including at least 5 years in senior leadership roles with responsibility for leading managers and distributed teams.
- Proven experience leading senior managers and large, global design teams, with the ability to navigate complex organizational environments.
- Strong people leadership skills with a passion for building teams, developing talent and creating clear growth paths.
- You are product-minded and ideally bring expertise from complex B2B software or supply chain environments.
- Experience building or transforming UX organizations, ideally across multiple products or teams
- Experience with or strong understanding of AI driven and agentic product experiences
- Ability to translate product and business strategy into actionable UX direction
- Strategic and decisive leadership style with outstanding stakeholder management skills and a hands-on mindset
- You are prepared to regular business travel to Berlin and Bangalore
