Job Description

  • Configure, support, and enhance SAP PP processes including:
    • Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
    • Demand management
    • Planned orders and production orders
    • Master Production Scheduling
    • Production versions
    • Bills of Material (BOM)
    • Work centres and resources
    • Routings/master recipes
    • Capacity planning
    • Production order confirmation
    • Goods issue and goods receipt integration
    • Batch-managed manufacturing processes
  • Support discrete and/or process manufacturing scenarios as applicable.
  • Work with business teams to translate manufacturing requirements into appropriate SAP solutions.
  • Support production planning integration with MM, EWM/WM, QM, PM, FI/CO, and other relevant modules.
  • Analyze production planning issues and provide sustainable solutions with minimum customization.
  • Key Responsibilities – SAP QM
  • Configure, support, and enhance SAP Quality Management processes including:
    • Quality planning
    • Inspection plans
    • Master inspection characteristics
    • Inspection types
    • Inspection lots
    • Results recording
    • Usage decision
    • Quality notifications
    • Certificate-related processes
    • Quality information records
    • Sampling procedures and sampling schemes
    • Dynamic modification rules, where applicable
  • Support quality processes for:
    • Incoming raw and packaging materials
    • In-process manufacturing
    • Finished products
    • Stability or other quality scenarios, where applicable
  • Support batch status management, stock posting decisions, quality releases, and restricted/rejected material processes.
  • Ensure appropriate integration between SAP QM and PP, MM, EWM/WM, SD, and other modules.
  • Work closely with QA/QC and CSV teams to ensure configured processes meet GxP and data integrity expectations.
  • Support audit trail, electronic record, approval, and controlled transaction requirements where applicable.
  • Key Responsibilities – SAP PM
  • Configure, support, and enhance SAP Plant Maintenance processes including:
    • Technical objects
    • Functional locations
    • Equipment master
    • Maintenance notifications
    • Maintenance orders
    • Preventive maintenance
    • Maintenance plans
    • Task lists
    • Measuring points and counters
    • Breakdown maintenance
    • Corrective maintenance
    • Preventive and predictive maintenance processes
  • Support calibration and maintenance-related processes for GxP-relevant equipment where applicable.
  • Support equipment history, maintenance documentation, spare parts consumption, and maintenance cost tracking.
  • Work with Engineering, Maintenance, Manufacturing, QA, and Calibration teams to ensure appropriate system controls.
  • Ensure maintenance processes integrate effectively with MM, FI/CO, PP, QM, procurement, inventory, and other relevant areas.
  • SAP Implementation & Application Support
  • Participate in SAP S/4HANA implementation, rollout, upgrade, enhancement, and support projects.
  • Perform hands-on SAP configuration and functional troubleshooting for assigned modules.
  • Prepare and review:
    • Business requirements
    • Functional specifications
    • Configuration documents
    • Process flows
    • Test scripts
    • SOP-related system inputs
    • Training materials
    • Cutover plans
    • Support documentation
  • Conduct fit-to-standard/workshop discussions with business stakeholders.
  • Analyze business requirements and recommend standard SAP solutions following clean-core principles wherever practical.
  • Support RICEFW/WRICEF developments by preparing functional specifications and coordinating with technical teams.
  • Work with ABAP, Fiori, Integration, Basis, Security/GRC, BTP, and other technical teams.
  • Support interfaces between SAP and manufacturing, laboratory, maintenance, weighing, MES, LIMS, third-party, or other enterprise systems as applicable.
  • Participate in data migration, master-data validation, cutover, hypercare, and stabilization activities.
  • Required Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 8+ years of hands-on SAP experience in SAP PP, QM, PM, or a strong combination of these modules.
  • Strong hands-on configuration and functional support experience in at least two areas, with working knowledge of the third.
  • Experience working in a service company, consulting organization, captive IT organization, or product/manufacturing company.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing and quality business processes.
  • Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA; S/4HANA implementation experience preferred.
  • Experience participating in at least one implementation, rollout, upgrade, or major transformation project preferred.
  • Ability to independently analyze incidents, requirements, and business-process issues.
  • Experience preparing functional specifications and working with technical development teams.
  • Good understanding of SAP Fiori applications relevant to PP, QM, and PM is preferred.
  • Exposure to SAP Cloud ALM, Solution Manager, Jira, ServiceNow, or similar tools is advantageous.
  • Pharmaceutical, life sciences, medical device, chemical, food, or other regulated-industry experience is strongly preferred.
  • Exposure to GxP, CSV, 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11, data integrity, and regulated-system controls is preferred.
Qualifications

  • Any recognized bachelor’s or master’s degree; no specific educational specialization is mandatory.
  • Relevant SAP PP, QM, PM, or S/4HANA certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Additional certifications or training in pharmaceutical GxP, CSV, quality systems, project delivery, or IT service management will be an advantage.
