We provide UK statutory accounting, corporation tax, Self Assessment, VAT, payroll, bookkeeping and international compliance services to businesses operating across the UK, EU and USA.
Our clients include businesses trading through Amazon, Shopify, eBay, Etsy and other online marketplaces.
The Role
We are seeking a fully ACCA-qualified accountant based in South India with at least three years of practical UK accounting experience.
The successful candidate will take ownership of UK accounting responsibilities, including statutory accounts, corporation tax, Self Assessment, VAT and bookkeeping oversight.
You must be confident managing multiple UK clients independently, resolving accounting issues, meeting deadlines and communicating professionally with clients and colleagues.
As many of our clients trade internationally, practical knowledge of e-commerce accounting, marketplace reconciliations and multi-currency transactions is essential.
Key Responsibilities
UK Statutory Accounts & Corporation Tax
- Prepare UK limited company statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105.
- Prepare corporation tax computations and CT600 returns.
- Complete year-end adjustments, accruals, prepayments and depreciation schedules.
- Review trial balances, balance sheets and supporting working papers.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of accounts and tax returns.
UK Self Assessment & Personal Tax
- Prepare Self Assessment (SA100) returns for directors, sole traders, landlords and individuals.
- Calculate taxable income, allowances, reliefs and tax liabilities.
- Prepare supporting tax computations and schedules.
- Maintain compliance with HMRC requirements and deadlines.
UK VAT & Payroll
- Prepare and review UK VAT returns, including MTD compliance.
- Reconcile VAT control accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Apply relevant UK VAT rules to domestic and international transactions.
- Prepare or review UK payroll, PAYE, RTI submissions and pension contributions.
E-commerce & International Accounting
- Oversee bookkeeping for Amazon, Shopify, eBay and other e-commerce clients.
- Reconcile marketplace settlements, refunds, commissions and fees.
- Review PayPal, Stripe and other payment processor transactions.
- Account for international sales, multi-currency transactions and exchange differences.
- Review inventory accounting, cost of goods sold and related reconciliations.
- Understand how UK, EU and USA trading activities affect UK financial reporting.
- Coordinate with international compliance teams where necessary.
EU VAT and US Sales Tax filings are handled by separate teams and are not part of this role.
Bookkeeping Supervision & Client Management
- Review bookkeeping completed by junior accountants and bookkeepers.
- Identify and resolve accounting errors and reconciliation discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate financial records across multiple client accounts.
- Manage assigned client portfolios, tasks and statutory deadlines independently.
- Communicate directly with UK clients through email, telephone and video meetings.
- Use project management and cloud-based systems to track work and maintain accountability.
- Attend daily team meetings and provide progress updates.
- Support improvements to accounting processes, accuracy and efficiency.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Applicants must meet ALL the following requirements:
- Fully ACCA-qualified with active ACCA membership and a valid, verifiable membership number.
- Minimum 3 years of practical UK accounting and taxation experience.
- Proven experience preparing UK statutory accounts and CT600 returns.
- Practical experience preparing UK Self Assessment (SA100) returns.
- Strong knowledge of UK VAT, payroll, HMRC regulations and UK GAAP.
- Proficiency in both Xero and QuickBooks Online.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and accounting reconciliation skills.
- Practical understanding of international e-commerce accounting and multi-currency transactions.
- Excellent written and spoken English for direct UK client communication.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, manage multiple clients and meet deadlines.
ACCA students, part-qualified candidates and affiliates without active membership are not eligible. Alternative qualifications such as CA, CIMA or CPA are not accepted as substitutes.
Excellent English Mroficiency (mandatory):
Must demonstrate excellent spoken and written English, including clear verbal communication, professional email writing, and the confidence to communicate independently with UK clients through telephone calls, video meetings and written correspondence.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience in a UK accounting practice or an outsourcing firm serving UK clients.
- Sage, TaxCalc, IRIS, BTCSoftware or similar UK accounting and tax software.
- Xero Advisor or QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification.
- Amazon Seller Central, Shopify, PayPal and Stripe.
- Dext, A2X and accounting automation tools.
- Experience supervising junior accounting staff.
- Familiarity with international tax and compliance workflows.
Mandatory Remote Working Requirements
This is a fully remote position for candidates based in South India.
Working Hours & Availability
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM UK time, including UK daylight saving changes.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality and responsiveness during working hours.
- Availability for daily video meetings with clients and internal teams.
Internet & Computer Equipment
- Stable internet connection with a minimum speed of 50 Mbps.
- Reliable laptop or desktop computer with at least 8 GB RAM.
- External monitor required when using a laptop.
- Working webcam, microphone and professional headset.
- Suitable arrangements to minimise internet and electricity disruptions.

Salary & Benefits
₹70,000–₹90,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
- Full-time, permanent remote position.
- 40-hour working week, Monday to Friday.
