The role focuses on developing robust APIs and services, integrating enterprise systems, and working closely with engineering and business teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software. It suits a hands-on engineer with strong Python fundamentals and practical experience building production-grade backend services.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Python.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and work with JSON-based data structures.
- Develop services using frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data access layers (SQL and NoSQL).
- Integrate with enterprise systems, third-party services, and message queues.
- Analyze functional and technical requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
- Develop, debug, test, and optimize backend components and integrations.
- Write unit and integration tests and maintain high code coverage.
- Troubleshoot application issues across services, databases, and infrastructure.
- Work closely with architects, frontend developers, QA, and business stakeholders.
- Participate in requirement analysis, technical design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Follow coding standards and engineering best practices, and participate in code reviews.
- Work within Agile methodologies, contributing to sprint planning, development, testing, and retrospectives.
- Continuously learn and apply new technologies to solve business problems.
- Take ownership of assigned work and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- 4-10 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Python (mandatory).
- Experience with at least one Python web framework (Django, Flask, or FastAPI).
- Strong experience building and consuming REST APIs and working with JSON.
- Solid knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL.
- Understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and enterprise software principles.
- Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Strong focus on code quality, reliability, and maintainability.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis) and caching.
- Experience with asynchronous programming and task queues (Celery, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and API design.
- Exposure to Java or JavaScript/React is a plus.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as pytest.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise application environments.
- Experience collaborating with distributed engineering teams is an added advantage.
B.E. or B.Tech. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Compensation will be based on experience, technical capability, and interview performance.
- Candidates with approximately 5 years of relevant experience can be considered up to ₹25 Lakhs for exceptionally strong profiles.
- Candidates with approximately 8 years of experience can be considered in the range of ₹35-40 Lakhs for exceptionally strong profiles.
- For exceptional candidates, compensation can be decided based on technical expertise, relevant experience, interview performance, and overall fit.
