About The Role
Position: Maintenance Manager- Car Carrier Number of Openings: 2 Experience: Minimum 10 years Qualification: Diploma / B.Tech Job Responsibilities Oversee maintenance and repair of the car carrier fleet, including trucks, trailers, and related equipment. Plan and monitor preventive and breakdown maintenance to ensure vehicle availability. Diagnose technical issues and coordinate timely repairs. Monitor vehicle fitness, safety standards, and statutory compliance. Manage workshop operations, mechanics, technicians, and external service vendors. Control maintenance costs and monitor expenses related to spare parts, repairs, and servicing. Maintain records of vehicle servicing, repairs, breakdowns, and maintenance schedules. Coordinate with fleet and operations teams to minimize vehicle downtime. Ensure proper inventory management of spare parts and maintenance materials. Identify recurring mechanical issues and implement corrective measures. Required Skills Strong knowledge of heavy commercial vehicles, trucks, trailers, and car carrier equipment. Experience in fleet maintenance and workshop management. Knowledge of preventive maintenance, vehicle diagnostics, and breakdown management. Vendor management, cost control, and team-handling skills. Good coordination and problem-solving abilities. Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates with substantial experience in maintenance management within the car carrier, automobile transportation, or heavy commercial vehicle industry will be preferred.
