Workday Studio Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Workday Studio Engineer with 8-10 years of hands-on experience in Workday integrations and development. The ideal candidate must be capable of independently designing, developing, testing, and troubleshooting complex Workday integrations with minimal supervision.

Strong expertise in Workday Advanced Custom Reports and Calculated Fields is mandatory, as these form the foundation for integration development across Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, and Web Services.

• Design, develop, test, and maintain end-to-end Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, and Web Services.

• Build complex Advanced Custom Reports and Calculated Fields for integration data extraction.

• Develop and maintain Reports-as-a-Service (RaaS) endpoints for downstream systems.

• Work with Workday SOAP Web Services, WSDLs, and REST APIs for inbound and outbound integrations.

• Develop Workday Studio integrations using assembly components, MVEL expressions, Java mediation, and error-handling mechanisms.

• Configure and maintain Integration System Users (ISUs), Integration System Security Groups (ISSGs), and domain security policies.

• Implement integration performance improvements using parallel processing, batching, and efficient data handling.

• Work with Document Transformation (DT), XML, and integration payloads.

• Troubleshoot integration failures, schema mismatches, and data extraction issues independently.

• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to deliver reliable integration solutions.

• 8-10 years of hands-on Workday integration development experience.

• Strong expertise in Workday Advanced Custom Reports and Calculated Fields.

• Experience with complex Calculated Fields, including:

  • Lookup Related Value (LRV)

  • Extract Single Instance (ESI) and Extract Multi-Instance (EMI)

  • Evaluate Expression (EE)

  • True/False conditions

  • Arithmetic, date, and formatting calculations

• Strong hands-on experience with Workday Studio, including assembly components, MVEL, Java mediation, and error handling.

• Experience with EIBs, Core Connectors, Document Transformation, and Workday Integration Cloud.

• Strong knowledge of Workday Web Services, SOAP/WSDL, REST APIs, and RaaS.

• Understanding of Workday Core HCM business objects, including Worker, Organization, Position Management, and Staffing Transactions.

• Experience with Integration System Security Groups, ISUs, and domain security.

• Strong debugging, root-cause analysis, and independent problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently without requiring training or mentoring on core Workday development.
