Role Summary
Design has changed more in the last 12 months than in the previous five. AI now generates first drafts of images, layouts, video and copy in minutes. That makes taste, brand governance and systems thinking the scarce skills. We need a lead who can direct AI as a production engine while keeping every output unmistakably Zalaris, in every market and language.
Own the visual expression of the Zalaris brand end to end: build and govern a scalable design system, set the creative bar across digital, products, campaign, event and video work, and set up an AI-assisted design and video workflow that lets a small team produce at enterprise volume without losing quality or brand consistency.
Your Responsibilities
Brand and design system ownership
- Own, evolve and document the Zalaris visual identity: logo use, colour, typography, grid, iconography, illustration, photography and data-visualisation style.
- Build and maintain a token-based design system that works across web and landing pages, print, presentations, social, events and product marketing.
- Maintain a living brand portal with templates, do/don't examples and usage rules that colleagues in every county can self-serve.
- Act as brand guardian: review and approve creative from internal teams, regions and agencies.
- Design and manage the team's AI design workflow, including approved tools, prompts, style references, quality checks and usage guidelines.
- Build reusable prompt libraries, brand style references and custom models or presets so AI outputs stay on-brand.
- Use AI to scale creative assets across sizes, languages and regions, while setting governance with Legal and IT for licensing, data privacy, disclosure and likeness rules.
- Lead the visual concept for global campaigns, products, thought-leadership content and events.
- Design and art-direct website pages, landing pages, emails and paid-media creative, applying UX, accessibility and conversion best practices and working closely with web and campaign teams on delivery.
- Own the motion language: produce and art-direct short-form social video, product explainers, customer stories and event content
- Set the creative bar, give clear, constructive critique, mentor designers and upskill non-designers on templates and AI tools.
- Brief and manage agencies, control quality and development timelines, and support delivery across projects.
- Plan design capacity against the marketing calendar, manage intake, prioritisation and turnaround, and measure design impact through creative performance, brand consistency audits, asset reuse and time-to-market.
- 8+ years of professional experience in graphic or brand design, ideally in a B2B SaaS, tech, or consulting/agency environment
- Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in corporate identity design, creative concepting, and digital-first execution
- Proven ability to develop and manage brand systems across formats and platforms
- Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Premiere Pro) and Figma, with hands-on experience across AI image, video and voice generation plus working familiarity with Canva.
- Ability to balance creativity with structure, brand discipline, and strategic thinking
- Experience leading or mentoring designers
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field
- A multicultural and international working environment with colleagues and clients across multiple countries.
- Friendly and supportive colleagues who value collaboration, knowledge sharing, and teamwork.
- A flat organisational structure where your ideas are heard and your contributions make an impact.
- Growth and development opportunities through challenging projects, continuous learning, and exposure to new technologies.
- Flexible working conditions that support both professional success and work-life balance.
- A competitive compensation and benefits package that recognises your skills, experience, and contributions.
