Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack

Role Overview:

As a Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack, you will design, develop and deliver of secure, scalable and high-performing enterprise applications across the user interface, application and data layers. A hands-on senior engineer who independently designs and delivers complex React + Java/Spring Boot functionality, owns modules from design through production, contributes to technical decisions, solves complex engineering problems and mentors junior engineers. You will collaborate with product, UX, architecture, DevOps and quality engineering teams, support junior engineers and drive reliable delivery from design through production support.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field.

• Certifications in Java, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Kubernetes or software architecture are preferred.

Required Experience

• 4-7 years of software engineering experience delivering enterprise applications across front-end and backend technologies.

• Experience owning complex modules, contributing to technical design discussions and mentoring junior engineers.

• Proven experience designing, developing and supporting cloud-native full-stack applications in production.

• Experience working with distributed global teams or within a Global Capability Center is an advantage.

Essential Skills

• Strong expertise in Java 17+, Spring and Spring Boot for distributed microservices.

• Advanced proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 and responsive web design.

• Hands-on expertise in React.js and component-driven architecture; working knowledge of Angular or Vue.js is valuable.

• Experience with state management, reusable UI components, accessibility (WCAG) and cross-browser compatibility.

• Deep understanding of microservices architecture, domain-driven design, event-driven design and cloud-native deployments.

• Experience building and consuming REST APIs and working with Kafka/RabbitMQ, asynchronous patterns and distributed transactions.

• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases, Hibernate/JPA, caching frameworks and data-access optimization.

• Strong foundation in Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, unit/integration testing, observability and production support.

• Experience with OAuth2, JWT, API security and secure coding practices.

• Ability to contribute to technical designs, conduct rigorous code reviews and mentor junior engineers in full-stack delivery.

Desired Skills

• Experience with React Native, micro frontends or server-side rendering.

• Exposure to service mesh, API gateways, distributed tracing and resilience frameworks.

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and multi-cloud environments.

• Familiarity with Agile/SAFe, SRE principles and engineering process optimization.

• Knowledge of front-end and backend observability, performance profiling and automated quality tooling.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivery and Execution

• Design and develop end-to-end of enterprise full-stack applications across multiple workstreams.

• Translate business and product requirements into scalable technical designs, implementation plans and delivery estimates.

• Build responsive, accessible and reusable user interfaces using React.js, Angular or comparable modern frameworks.

• Design and develop Java 17+ and Spring Boot microservices, REST APIs and event-driven integrations.

• Contribute to architecture and design reviews, conduct code reviews, and ensure deliverables meet quality and security standards.

• Drive performance optimization across browser, API, application and database layers.

• Ensure production readiness through structured logging, distributed tracing, health checks, metrics and resilience patterns.

• Troubleshoot, root-cause analysis and resolution of complex issues across environments.

Support and Enablement

• Mentor junior engineers and promote clean code, test automation, secure coding and consistent engineering standards.

• Maintain technical documentation, API specifications, reusable component libraries, runbooks and service catalogs.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams to strengthen CI/CD pipelines, automated quality gates and deployment workflows.

• Partner with UX, product, architecture and backend/frontend teams to ensure cohesive user and system experiences.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to platform modernization, technical roadmaps and architecture decisions.

• Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
