THE OPPORTUNITY – Senior Software Engineer
In this role, you will be part of a high-performing Engineering team that shapes the future of cloud-native enterprise platform architecture. You will collaborate across global teams, solve complex technical challenges, and contribute to delivering high-impact, scalable software solutions for our enterprise customers.
What You’ll Do
- Architect, design, and build scalable, high-performance microservices, RESTful APIs, and backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build, automate, and maintain end-to-end continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for microservices infrastructure.
- Design, optimize, and manage resilient data access layers using SQL databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL key-value stores.
- Drive engineering discipline and quality through rigorous code reviews, automated unit testing, continuous deployment, and adherence to software architecture standards.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product Management and global engineering teams to own features from concept and design to production deployment.
Must-Have Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field with 8+ years of software development experience, OR Master’s degree with 5+ years of software development and web architecture experience.
- Solid, hands-on proficiency with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful web services, and MVC architectural patterns.
- Strong expertise in database development and SQL (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Demonstrated experience building end-to-end CI/CD and automated deployment pipelines for microservices.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and team collaboration skills, with a track record of applying strong engineering practices (unit testing, code reviews).
- Experience building modular, scalable systems with technologies such as Scala, NoSQL data stores, Hadoop, or Apache Spark.
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Chef, Puppet) and containerization technologies.
- Experience working in Agile (Scrum) environments within distributed, global engineering teams.
- Contributions to open-source projects or a track record of championing new engineering technologies.
