This is a role for an accomplished Workday HCM leader who wants to run a portfolio, not just a project. You will direct multiple HCM streams, own the commercial outcome, build long-term client partnerships, and grow the next generation of Workday leaders in a fast-growing global consulting firm.
Role Overview
As Workday HCM Functional Consulting Manager, you oversee the delivery of multiple HCM streams or a mid-sized portfolio of client engagements. You are accountable for governance, client engagement, financial performance and people leadership. You work with Workday Leads, Solution Architects and client executives to deliver excellent, profitable outcomes and long-term partnerships, and you coach the leaders who will come after you.

- Client executives trust you for portfolio-level advice and direction.
- Your engagements land on scope, budget and timeline and hit profitability targets.
- You mentor and grow Workday Leads and senior consultants into future leaders.
- Your client relationships lead to renewals, expansions and long-term partnerships.
Delivery
- Oversee multi-stream Workday engagements, keeping functional, technical and integration tracks aligned.
- Define delivery frameworks and oversee project charters, governance plans and risk frameworks.
- Sponsor cutover planning and adoption at portfolio level.
- Provide executive delivery oversight on high-profile issues and escalations.
- Partner with client senior managers and executives to shape and monitor HCM roadmaps.
- Lead executive-level governance sessions and quarterly business reviews.
- Manage client escalations and drive resolution diplomatically.
- Identify opportunities for further transformation work.
- Align solutions and delivery approaches with the client's strategic objectives.
- Promote continuous improvement and efficiency across delivery.
- Drive adoption of newer Workday capabilities (Extend, Prism, Automation) where they add value.
- Feed market trends into new Mivada service offerings.
- Allocate resources across engagements, balancing utilisation, growth needs and delivery demands.
- Mentor Workday Leads so they can take on larger portfolios.
- Coordinate with Sales, Solutions and Data practices to keep delivery efficient across practices.
- Build a collaborative, high-performance culture across teams.
- Own P&L responsibility for your assigned portfolio or engagements.
- Track portfolio KPIs: margin, utilisation and client satisfaction.
- Apply governance and audit standards consistently.
- Capture lessons learned and apply them across the practice.
- Extensive hands-on Workday HCM Functional Consulting experience, with a record of leading multi-stream or multi-project delivery.
- Proven track record delivering Workday HCM implementations across multiple modules, including post-go-live support.
- Demonstrated ownership of delivery financials, such as P&L, margin and utilisation, in a consulting environment.
- Experience advising senior client stakeholders and executives, including leading governance forums and managing escalations.
- Experience managing, coaching and developing consultants and leads, including offshore teams.
- Commercial awareness: scope and change control, identifying expansion opportunities, and supporting renewals.
- A confident decision-maker and strong communicator who holds up under pressure.
- Passionate about team development and growing within the Workday ecosystem.
