What You'll Do
As a Staff Program Manager in Product Operations, you will run the financial operations that keep Teradata's product organization licensed, funded, and accountable for spend. You will own day-to-day execution across software purchasing, cloud FinOps, cross-charges, and budget tracking, and you will run the controls and reporting that leaders use to make spend decisions. Based in India, you will work closely with global Product, Engineering, Finance, and Procurement stakeholders.
- Software purchasing and PO operations: Own the end-to-end purchasing cycle for product software, tooling, and services, from usage analysis and vendor quotes through requisitions in Oracle Fusion, approval routing, contract signature, PO issuance, receipting, and invoice resolution.
- Renewals and licensing: Maintain the product software license and renewal register, surface renewals well before term end, and work with Procurement and system owners to confirm options, terms, and required license quantities.
- FinOps and cloud-spend execution: Track R&D cloud spend against budget across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, prepare recurring spend reporting, validate cloud provider invoices and marketplace offers, and coordinate savings plan and commitment purchases while monitoring realized savings.
- Cloud cost optimization: Coordinate cost optimization workstreams, including account decommissioning and transfers, tagging and cost allocation, and follow-through with product and engineering owners on savings actions.
- Cross-charge and budget tracking: Track cloud, tooling, and software budgets and outlooks, validate and reconcile monthly cross-charges and chargebacks between departments, and reconcile monthly against Finance records with clear variance explanations.
- Planning cycles: Support annual budgeting and quarterly outlooks by working with budget owners and Finance on spend assumptions, license requirements, and forecast changes.
- Operational controls: Run controls over purchasing and spend, including approval hierarchy checks, complete cost center and GL coding, confirmation of delivery before receipting, and audit-ready records.
- Reporting and follow-through: Produce recurring reports and dashboards for Product Operations and product leadership, and drive open actions, missing data, and blockers to closure.
- AI and automation: Apply foundational AI skills to automate routine reporting, reconciliation, and follow-up, and identify manual steps that should be simplified or retired rather than automated.
You will work as part of Teradata's Product Operations team, collaborating daily with:
- Finance partners on budgets, outlooks, cross-charges, and monthly reconciliation.
- Procurement on supplier engagement, contract renewals, purchase orders, and invoice resolution.
- Product and Engineering leaders, budget owners, and system owners on spend ownership, license requirements, and cost optimization actions.
- Cloud FinOps and cloud operations teams on spend data, tagging, cost allocation, and savings initiatives.
- Software vendors, resellers, and cloud service providers on quotes, order forms, and billing.
- US-based Product Operations leadership during a regular daily overlap with US business hours.
