Mobile Developer (Android & iOS)

Turium Ai

About Turium AI

Turium AI is building AI-powered products and enterprise technology designed to change how businesses interact with technology.

We develop intelligent platforms that combine AI, automation, enterprise integrations and modern user experiences to solve real-world business challenges.

We are looking for a talented, hands-on Mobile Developer (Android & iOS) to join our engineering team and help build high-performance, intuitive and scalable mobile applications.

About the Role

You will take ownership of developing and enhancing mobile applications across Android and iOS, using React Native and modern JavaScript/TypeScript technologies.

We need someone who combines strong frontend engineering capabilities with an understanding of mobile architecture, real-time communication, advanced UI/UX implementation and production application delivery.

This is a product engineering role where you will work closely with designers, backend engineers, AI developers and product teams to build engaging mobile experiences used by real customers.

We're looking for someone who can take features from concept through development, testing, deployment and ongoing improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and optimise cross-platform mobile applications for Android and iOS using React Native.
  • Build responsive, visually polished and interactive user interfaces with smooth animations and intuitive navigation.
  • Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, production-ready mobile experiences.
  • Implement mobile navigation flows, deep linking and notification-based navigation.
  • Integrate push notifications and manage notification handling across Android and iOS.
  • Integrate REST APIs, WebSockets and real-time communication services.
  • Develop and support mobile features involving VoIP calling, live communication and real-time application updates.
  • Implement client-side telemetry, event tracking, application monitoring and product analytics SDKs.
  • Manage application builds, releases, versioning and deployment to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, improve application performance and maintain application stability.
  • Collaborate with backend, AI, product and design teams to deliver new features and improve existing functionality.
  • Write clean, reusable, maintainable and well-tested code.
  • Participate in technical discussions, code reviews and continuous improvement of mobile development practices.
  • Take ownership of features throughout the development lifecycle, from implementation to production support.

Required Technical Skills

  • 2–5 years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on mobile application development experience.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining live mobile applications with real users.
  • Strong proficiency in React Native, React.js, JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Solid understanding of Android and iOS development environments, mobile architecture and platform-specific behaviour.
  • Advanced frontend development skills, including animations, transitions, responsive layouts and interactive UI components.
  • Experience implementing navigation using React Navigation or similar frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with push notifications, deep linking and notification-driven navigation.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs, WebSockets and real-time communication functionality.
  • Exposure to VoIP calling or real-time audio communication within mobile applications.
  • Experience publishing, updating and maintaining applications on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
  • Understanding of client-side analytics, telemetry, event tracking and SDK integration.
  • Experience debugging, profiling and optimising mobile application performance.
  • Familiarity with Git, Agile development practices and collaborative engineering workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the confidence to independently deliver production-ready features.

Highly Desirable

  • Backend development experience using Go (Golang).
  • Experience implementing mobile-local Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations and tool-calling capabilities.
  • Exposure to client-side AI inference, on-device models or mobile AI integrations.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered applications, intelligent assistants or agent-based workflows.
  • Experience with real-time communication technologies such as WebRTC.
  • Experience with native Android (Kotlin/Java) or iOS (Swift) development.
  • Familiarity with mobile CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and release management.
  • Experience working in a startup, SaaS or fast-moving product engineering environment.

What We're Looking For

  • A developer who has personally built and shipped mobile applications, not just contributed to internal demos or proof-of-concept projects.
  • Someone who cares about application performance, usability, visual quality and the overall user experience.
  • A strong technical problem-solver who can independently troubleshoot complex mobile issues.
  • A product-minded engineer who understands how real users interact with applications.
  • Someone comfortable taking ownership, making technical decisions and delivering features within demanding timelines.
  • A collaborative team member who enjoys working across engineering, design, AI and product functions.
  • A curious developer who stays current with mobile technologies, modern frontend practices and emerging AI capabilities.
