Medical Coder – Allergy, ENT & Dermatology

Location: Bangalore, India / Remote (India)

We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Coder with experience in Allergy & Immunology, Ear, Nose & Throat (ENT), and Dermatology to support accurate medical coding, billing documentation, and revenue cycle workflows for specialty healthcare practices in the United States.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with US healthcare coding standards, including CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II, and a strong understanding of specialty-specific clinical documentation and billing requirements.

• Assign accurate CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes based on clinical documentation.
• Review physician notes, encounter records, and procedure documentation for coding accuracy and completeness.
• Apply specialty-specific coding knowledge across Allergy & Immunology, ENT, and Dermatology.
• Support evaluation and management (E/M) coding, procedure coding, and charge capture.
• Identify documentation gaps, coding discrepancies, and potential billing errors.
• Follow applicable US coding guidelines, payer policies, and compliance requirements.
• Assist with claim reviews, denial analysis, and coding-related queries from billing teams.
• Maintain high standards of coding accuracy, productivity, confidentiality, and turnaround time.
• Collaborate with clinicians, billing teams, and revenue cycle management teams as required.

• 2+ years of experience in medical coding for US healthcare providers; relevant specialty experience is strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II coding.
• Familiarity with US medical billing, insurance claims, and payer-specific coding requirements.
• Ability to interpret clinical documentation and identify appropriate codes.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and written communication.
• Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment.
• Comfortable working with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems.

• Experience in one or more of the following specialties:
• Allergy & Immunology: Allergy testing, immunotherapy, injections, and related procedures.
• ENT: Office procedures, endoscopy, audiology-related services, and ENT-specific coding.
• Dermatology: Skin biopsies, lesion removal, destruction procedures, and dermatology E/M coding.
• AAPC CPC or AHIMA CCS certification, or equivalent relevant credentials.
• Experience supporting US specialty clinics or physician practices.
• Familiarity with EHR platforms and medical coding or billing software.

• Bangalore-based or fully remote within India.
