Stellar Talent HR Consultancy is hiring a Head of Legal for one of our clients in the electric mobility sector.

Location: Chennai

CTC: Up to ₹75 LPA

Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer

About the Role

Lead the organisation’s legal function, providing strategic advice to senior leadership while overseeing legal governance, regulatory compliance and risk management. This role will support business growth, safeguard organisational interests and lead a team of legal professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement the organisation’s legal governance framework, policies, SOPs and Delegation of Authority.

• Advise the CEO and CXOs on strategic initiatives, partnerships, investments and business expansion.

• Lead high-value contract negotiations, establish contracting principles and approve deviations from standard terms.

• Provide final legal clearance on government tenders and public contracts.

• Oversee regulatory compliance and engage with regulators, the Board and senior stakeholders.

• Lead litigation and dispute strategy, including the management of external counsel.

• Oversee employment law, POSH and sensitive employee-related legal matters.

• Protect intellectual property and strengthen legal capability through training, knowledge management and digitisation.
