GCC Lead & Director, Engineering

About the Role

As the GCC Technology Lead, you will help build, lead, and scale technology capabilities in India, with a strong focus on the Microsoft ecosystem, enterprise applications, and engineering excellence. You will connect technology strategy with business priorities, ensuring the team delivers scalable, secure, and effective solutions that support business growth and operational needs.

This is a builder-leader role that combines technical depth with business ownership. You will be expected to understand the technology at a practical level, guide architecture and engineering decisions, establish development and deployment standards, and build a high-performing team. You will work closely with global business and technology stakeholders to define priorities, solve complex problems, and independently drive decisions that move the business forward.

You will work across Microsoft Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Microsoft Fabric, DevOps, GitHub, Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), databases, and third-party integrations. Broad Power Platform knowledge is important, along with deep expertise in at least one or two components. Experience in warehouse automation, manufacturing, production environments, or IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Business Partnership

  • Build and execute the GCC technology roadmap in alignment with business objectives, operational priorities, and growth plans.

  • Partner with global business and technology leaders to understand challenges, identify opportunities, and translate business needs into practical technology solutions.

  • Independently assess options, make informed technical and business decisions, and take ownership of outcomes without relying on constant direction.

  • Balance immediate delivery needs with long-term architecture, scalability, security, and maintainability.

  • Communicate technical recommendations, trade-offs, risks, and priorities clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes, automate workflows, and create efficiencies through technology.

Microsoft Ecosystem & Solution Development

  • Lead the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of solutions built on Microsoft Power Platform and related enterprise technologies.

  • Bring broad knowledge of Power Platform capabilities, with deep hands-on expertise in one or two areas such as Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, or Microsoft Copilot Studio.

  • Work across Microsoft Dynamics 365, Microsoft Fabric, and related services to support enterprise applications, business workflows, data, and reporting requirements.

  • Guide solution architecture, application development, and integrations between Microsoft platforms, databases, and third-party systems.

  • Apply working knowledge of SQL, database analysis, data flows, and application development to make sound technical decisions and troubleshoot complex issues.

  • Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business requirements and enterprise technology standards.

DevOps, GitHub & Application Lifecycle Management

  • Establish and improve DevOps practices across development, testing, deployment, and production support.

  • Drive effective use of GitHub for source control, code collaboration, code reviews, and development automation.

  • Define and implement ALM practices covering environment management, solution versioning, release management, deployment automation, and rollback procedures.

  • Build reliable CI/CD processes that improve deployment consistency, engineering productivity, and release quality.

  • Establish practical standards for code quality, access control, security, testing, monitoring, and technical documentation.

  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort, improve development workflows, and strengthen the reliability of production systems.

GCC Leadership & Team Scaling

  • Build, develop, and scale the India-based technology team in line with business needs, delivery priorities, and long-term growth plans.

  • Establish clear ownership, accountability, operating practices, and technical standards across the team.

  • Partner with global stakeholders to define hiring priorities, identify capability gaps, and build the right mix of technical skills.

  • Provide technical direction, coach engineers, and develop team members to take greater ownership of solutions and delivery outcomes.

  • Create a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and practical problem-solving.

  • Ensure the GCC operates as an integrated extension of the global organization, with clear alignment on priorities, delivery expectations, and business outcomes.

Technical Integration & Operational Excellence

  • Guide integrations across enterprise applications, databases, APIs, and third-party systems.

  • Establish clear approaches for data mapping, validation, error handling, security, monitoring, and ongoing support.

  • Work with business and technical teams to understand existing systems, operational workflows, dependencies, and integration requirements.

  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and guide teams toward solutions that improve reliability and reduce operational friction.

  • Identify opportunities to standardize solutions, reuse components, and improve maintainability across applications and integrations.

  • Ensure technology decisions account for production requirements, operational continuity, security, and the long-term cost of ownership.

Industry & Business Context

  • Understand how technology supports operationally complex environments, including asset management, logistics, warehouse operations, manufacturing, and production workflows.

  • Apply business and technical judgment to identify opportunities for automation, system integration, and process improvement.

  • Work with operational stakeholders to ensure technology solutions address real-world business needs.

  • Bring relevant experience in IT Asset Disposition (ITAD), warehouse automation, manufacturing, or production environments where available.
