Within CSBU, the Software Solution Group (SSG) connects product, engineering, manufacturing, and operations through advanced traceability, production manufacturing applications, database platforms, system integration, manufacturing support, and analytics for high-speed electrical interconnects.

Our team creates and sustains software capabilities that accelerate product readiness, improve manufacturing execution, drive product quality, and support dependable production at scale. We value creative thinking, disciplined execution, problem-solving, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

  • Lead and develop the Product Software Integration, Lab and Production Automation Software Development, and Database Capability groups through the respective capability group leaders, with clear accountability for operational excellence, delivery excellence, and talent development.

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Operations, Program Management, and global site teams to translate business and product priorities into clear software roadmaps and execution plans.
  • Ensure software capabilities support new product introduction, production readiness, traceability, data integrity, manufacturing automation, system integration, and business continuity.
  • Create an integrated operating model across application development, database engineering, production support, and integration to reduce handoff gaps and improve end-to-end accountability.
  • Drive delivery governance through portfolio prioritization, resource allocation, dependency management, risk mitigation, milestone reviews, and transparent stakeholder communication.
  • Balance new development, product roadmap commitments, technical debt, platform modernization, sustaining work, and urgent production needs based on business impact and opportunity cost.
  • Improve engineering predictability and operational excellence using meaningful measures for delivery, quality, reliability, support responsiveness, and customer impact.
  • Build strong product and customer context within the engineering organization so teams understand how their work influences product launch, manufacturing performance, revenue enablement, and customer trust.
  • Lead critical technical and operational escalations, ensuring structured problem solving, clear ownership, timely communication, root-cause analysis, and sustainable corrective actions.
  • Develop group leaders and senior engineers through coaching, delegation, succession planning, technical leadership opportunities, and clear expectations for accountability and decision-making.
  • Plan organizational capability and capacity, including hiring, talent mobility, role clarity, skill development, and use of external partners when appropriate.
  • Foster a culture of contribution, ownership, collaboration, continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and safe challenge of assumptions.
  • Communicate strategy, progress, trade-offs, risks, and decisions effectively to technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior leadership.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 12-14 years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years of engineering management experience and 2+ years leading multiple teams, capability groups, or supervisors in a matrixed or global environment.
  • Hands-on understanding of software development, database systems, APIs and integration, deployment practices, production support, and the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience leading multiple technical capabilities or teams responsible for both software delivery and production reliability.
  • Proven ability to connect engineering priorities with product, manufacturing, operational, and customer outcomes.
  • Experience establishing engineering governance, delivery discipline, quality practices, and operational support models.
  • Strong people-leadership capability, including coaching leaders, developing talent, setting expectations, managing performance, and building succession strength.
  • Ability to prioritize across competing business needs, make informed trade-offs, and manage risks in a fast-changing environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills across technical, non-technical, local, and global teams.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, judgment, and a contribution-minded, can-do approach.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in a product-based engineering organization supporting manufacturing, new product introduction, production software, or industrial digitalization.
  • Experience managing supervisors, group leaders, or other second-line leadership roles.
  • Background in database engineering, production applications, system integration, manufacturing execution, traceability, automation, or high-availability production support.
  • Experience scaling software organizations, defining operating models, and building capability across multiple technical disciplines.
