Role Description The Steel Detailer will prepare accurate structural steel shop drawings and erection plans, based on architectural and engineering documents, for fabrication and on-site installation. Responsibilities include interpreting design specifications, modeling steel components in 3D, and coordinating with BIM teams to ensure clashes are resolved and details are constructible. The role involves close collaboration with engineers, project managers, and fabricators to clarify requirements and incorporate design changes in a timely manner. The Steel Detailer will also perform quality checks on drawings, maintain documentation standards, and support connection design workflows as needed. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Tiruchirappalli.
Qualifications

Strong proficiency in structural steel detailing, including preparation of shop drawings and erection plans.
Experience with 3D modeling tools and BIM coordination for steel structures.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural engineering drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and connection design principles used in steel construction.
Attention to detail, strong drafting skills, and commitment to drawing accuracy and quality.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with engineers, project managers, and fabrication teams.
Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field; prior experience in steel detailing is highly desirable.
