Monitor and control the transportation and distribution of products necessary to meet business needs while maximizing efficiency and minimizing costs. Tasks involve managing the administration and day-to-day logistics, evaluating different transport options, analyzing the optimal number of trucks/containers needed to transport product shipments based on the required schedule, and reviewing and improving processes and procedures relating to product distribution, cargo composition, and storage.

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute all transportation processes across regional distribution points of delivery (PODs).
Daily monitor queries through TMS, ensuring orders are optimized and shipped on time.
Facilitate communications and coordination between internal customer groups and external carrier contacts to support service-level objectives.
Monitor data flows between ERP systems, TMS and WMS systems to ensure synchronization for successful transportation execution.
Identify gaps in transportation capacity and initiate accurate measures with Transportation Capacity Planning teams.
Daily interact with off-site carriers and on-site carrier partners to resolve service and capacity issues, with escalation of critical issues to management as needed.
Identify opportunities across the transportation network and related activities to enable service and cost improvement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or a related field.
2+ years of Transportation & Logistics experience, preferably within FMCG.
Strong knowledge of transportation and logistics operations.
Proficiency in transportation software and tools, including TMS, OTM, SAP, ORTEC and 4Kites.
Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
