Position Summary

The Jindal School of Arts and Humanities (JSLH), located in O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), Sonipat, Haryana, India, is seeking to appoint an Assistant/Associate Professor in Fine Arts. The areas of expertise may include painting, printmaking, sculpture, installation, video and photography. Excellent teaching and communication skills, commitment to undergraduate education and strong artistic activity are required.

Roles And Responsibilities

Faculty members will be expected to follow the below roles and responsibilities.

• Teaching and designing studio-based courses and contributing to the development of the BFA program.
• Mentoring students' artistic research and building their studio practice.
• Taking students on research tours to art studios, art galleries, exhibitions, art fairs, and biennales.
• Contributing to developing the art centre in OP Jindal Global University through research, curation, and practice.
• Facilitating collaboration with academic, industry and general art world actors.
• Sharing knowledge concerning job opportunities and further studies with students and faculty.
• Attend monthly departmental meetings,
• Hold regular office hours, advise and mentor students.
• Undertake administrative responsibilities.
