The Accountant will be responsible for managing the overall accounting function of the company including financial reporting, auditing financial statements, book-keeping, taxation, compliance and providing financial advising.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure all financial transactions are recorded properly
- Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements like income statement, balance sheet etc.
- Review the company's systems and analyse risk.
- Handle all tax compliance including filing of tax returns, computing tax liabilities etc.
- Advice on tax planning and ensure tax optimization
- Interact with external statutory auditors for annual audit process - Oversee cash flow management and bank related activities
- Forecast and monitor budgets, profits and losses
- Handle compliances with Indian and UK corporate laws
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and statutory requirements
- Counsel on areas of business improvement, or dealing with insolvency
- Negotiate terms with suppliers Qualifications and Skills:
- Having experience im export import laws and documentation.
- Experience with duty drawback programs
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting and finance functions - Expertise in Tally/ERP systems, MS Excel
- Strong knowledge of Indian and international accounting standards
- Hands on experience in corporate and indirect taxation - Self-motivated with good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines - Fluency in English and Hindi
