Applications are invited from interested and eligible candidates for the post of “Research Associate” for a research project funded by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi purely on contractual basis as per the following details.

Project Title

Vocational Education and Training (VET), Labour Market Outcomes and Skill Mismatch: An Investigation for India.

Project Director

Dr. Tushar Agrawal, Economics and Development Studies, and Centre for Development Policy and Management, Indian Institute of Management Udaipur, Rajasthan

Name of the post: Research Associate (No. of Posts: 01)

Duration: 12 months

Remuneration: Consolidated Rs. 47,000/- per month (as per ICSSR guidelines).

Essential Qualification: Postgraduate in social science discipline with minimum 55% marks with NET/ M.Phil. /Ph.D. and two years research experience.

Desired Skills

• Experience in coordinating and collecting data (quantitative and qualitative).
• Prior experience in data analysis, carrying out literature review, and report writing.
• Knowledge of MS Office and proficiency in using statistical software such as Stata.
• Experience of working on household surveys such as NSS/PLFS.
  
  

Job Responsibilities/Specifications:

• Research tool development, data collection, data analysis and report writing/academic papers.
• Conducting in-depth interviews with stakeholders.
• Carrying out literature review, creating infographics and developing policy briefs.
• Project-related documentation, administrative work, organising a workshop/conference, and any other responsibilities assigned by the Project Director.
