Lead II - Business Analyst / Systems Analyst (Healthcare Domain)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead II Business Analyst / Systems Analyst with strong expertise in the Healthcare domain to bridge business needs and technology solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, QA teams, and external partners to gather, analyze, document, and manage business and system requirements for healthcare applications and digital transformation initiatives.
The candidate should possess in-depth knowledge of healthcare processes, regulatory requirements, data integration, and SDLC methodologies while driving requirements management from conception through implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders, SMEs, product owners, and technical teams to understand healthcare business needs and translate them into functional and technical requirements.
Conduct requirements gathering sessions, workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings.
Create and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), User Stories, Use Cases, Process Flows, and System Specifications.
Analyze current-state business processes and recommend improvements and optimization opportunities.
Define acceptance criteria and support test planning, UAT activities, and production validation.
Facilitate communication between business teams and development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Work with Solution Architects and Technical Leads to design scalable and compliant healthcare solutions.
Support data mapping, data migration, interface analysis, and integration requirements.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, reviews, and retrospectives.
Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps in requirements and proactively recommend solutions.
Mentor junior analysts and contribute to best practices in business analysis.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Management, or related field.
8-12+ years of overall IT experience with 5+ years of Business Analysis/System Analysis experience.
Strong experience in Healthcare/Payer domain projects.
Hands-on experience in gathering and documenting business and system requirements.
Expertise in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Elevance Health, Carelon, Ameriben, or similar healthcare payer organizations.
Knowledge of Healthcare Data Standards such as: HL7
FHIR
EDI X12 Transactions (837, 834, 835, 270/271)

Experience with Healthcare Digital Transformation initiatives.
CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, SAFe BA, or Agile certifications.
Exposure to Cloud-based healthcare platforms and analytics solutions.
