Lasik Center Manager

The LASIK Centre Manager is responsible for the overall administration, operational efficiency, patient satisfaction, business growth, quality compliance, and financial performance of the LASIK Centre. The role involves coordinating with ophthalmologists, optometrists, counselors, OT staff, marketing teams, and administrative departments to ensure smooth functioning of the refractive surgery services while maintaining NABH standards and excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the LASIK Centre.
- Ensure smooth patient flow from registration to surgery and follow-up.
- Coordinate surgery schedules with consultants and OT staff.
- Monitor daily appointments and surgery lists.
- Ensure all LASIK equipment is operational and maintained.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and calibration of machines.
- Patient Experience
- Ensure high levels of patient satisfaction.
- Monitor counseling quality and informed consent process.
- Resolve patient complaints promptly.
- Improve patient waiting time and service quality.
- Ensure excellent communication before and after surgery.
- Clinical Coordination
- Coordinate with refractive surgeons, optometrists, counselors, OT nurses, and technicians.
- Ensure all pre-operative investigations are completed.
- Verify patient readiness before surgery.
- Monitor post-operative follow-up compliance.
- Ensure proper documentation of patient records.
- Quality & NABH Compliance
- Ensure adherence to NABH standards and hospital SOPs.
- Conduct departmental audits.
- Maintain quality indicators.
- Ensure infection control practices.
- Monitor incident reporting and corrective actions.
- Financial & Business Development
- Achieve monthly and annual LASIK revenue targets.
- Monitor surgery conversion rates.
- Improve patient conversion from consultation to surgery.
- Control departmental expenses.
- Analyze profitability and business performance.
- Coordinate promotional campaigns with the marketing department.
- Team Management
- Supervise counselors, optometrists, technicians, coordinators, and front office staff.
- Prepare duty rosters.
- Conduct staff training and performance evaluations.
- Monitor attendance and discipline.
- Motivate the team to achieve departmental goals.
- Inventory Management
- Monitor LASIK consumables and inventory.
- Ensure adequate stock levels.
- Coordinate procurement requirements.
- Minimize wastage and expiry of consumables.
- Marketing Coordination
- Coordinate LASIK awareness programs.
- Organize camps and promotional events.
- Build relationships with referring doctors and optometrists.
- Support digital marketing initiatives.
- Monitor lead conversion and marketing ROI.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Monitor departmental KPIs.
- Submit revenue and operational reports to management.
- Maintain records of surgeries, outcomes, and complications.
